Beijing: The much-anticipated electric automobile from Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi will make its official debut on March 28.
In a social media post, the company promised that its SU7 Electric Car “would be delivered as soon as it is launched,” according to a translation of the Chinese copy provided by CNBC.
According to the post, the business was starting a waitlist for 59 outlets spread over 29 Chinese cities.
In late December, Xiaomi unveiled the car’s look and technological characteristics, but it withheld information on the pricing and the exact delivery date.
Weibing Lu, the president of Xiaomi, told CNBC last month that the business was aiming the car at the luxury market and that deliveries would start as early as the second quarter.
Although the car was initially shown to a global audience at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Lu stated that it would probably be another two or three years before Xiaomi began selling the car abroad.
