The NWS stated in a post on X that “a tornado watch has been issued for parts of Oklahoma and Texas until 9 PM CDT.”

Following reports of severe thunderstorms impacting portions of Virginia, Ohio, Florida, and Tennessee, several tornadoes may rip over the eastern portion of the nation. The NWS reports that there is a chance of very large (over 2 inches) twisters starting Monday evening and continuing through Tuesday. The mid-Atlantic states and the Ohio Valley region were definitely feeling the effects of the bad weather.

Residents have not been instructed to stay away from public locations, despite the fact that there has not been a severe tornado warning. It is urged, nevertheless, that individuals keep an eye on the information that the NWS and local authorities offer.
