IPL2024: The Rajasthan Royals declare Keshav Maharaj as Prasidh Krishna’s injury substitute
Due to his recent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon, which is still healing, Prasidh will not be able to play for the Rajasthan Royals throughout the full 2024 Indian Premier League season.
For the duration of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, injured pacer Prasidh Krishna will be replaced by South African spinner Keshav Maharaj of the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Prasidh is recuperating from surgery he had recently had on his left proximal quadriceps tendon. In the meantime, Afghanistan’s young off-spinner Allah Ghazanfar was signed by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to replace injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
In two ODIs, Ghazanfar has played for Afghanistan. The youthful player has taken five and four wickets in his three T20 and six List A games, respectively. He pays the base salary of Rs 20 Lakh to join KKR.
In 50 Tests, 44 ODIs, and 27 T20Is, Maharaj has amassed 237 wickets in international cricket.
Additionally, he has played 159 T20s, picking up 130 wickets, and can chip in with some handy runs down the order. RR have brought him on board for his base price of Rs 50 Lakh.
